There is a difference between how people present themselves and how they are actually experienced. What is shown is not always the full picture, and what stands out is often found in the details that can be easily overlooked.

In Frame Noir recognizes what exists beyond what someone chooses to show.

In photography, this is done by paying attention to what may not be obvious. Sometimes, writing is used to put that into words and reflect on how someone was seen and remembered.

This framework remains the same with video, but shifts through intentionality with music, rhythm, and arrangement. The goal is to create a visual experience that not only tells a story, but also evokes a feeling that stays with you after the video ends.

The name In Frame Noir began with a love for black-and-white photography, but it has grown to represent something more. In Frame represents what is visible on the surface. Noir represents a deeper way of seeing, influenced by contrast, depth, and an awareness that there is often more to a person, experience, or story than what is immediately visible.

In Frame Noir embodies a minimalist style where everything is created with purpose.
